Yarn Galore
A friend of mine inherited a huge box of yarn among other things, and offered the yarn to me since she isn't knitter. Score! I'm guessing the yarn is from the 70's...judging by the colors.
I told my friend I'd make her and her 5 year old daughter something cute. And then, having been a little inspired by a story I read in Knit Simple (Fall 2011) - I'm thinking about knitting a bunch of hats and handing them out to the homeless. The girl who wrote the story lives in NYC and keeps hats in her bag, and when she sees someone on the street in need, she hands them a hat. So simple, and so cool.

I love 70's colors! :) I'm sure you will have SO much fun with all of that yarn. Can't wait to see what you come up with.
